Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1 Hamma Garden, Notre-Dame d'Afrique & Army Museum

   Pickup from your hotel or the airport, then a guided day across three sights: the botanical Hamma garden, the basilica of Notre-Dame d'Afrique on its hill above the Mediterranean, and the Army Museum, with a traditional lunch along the way before returning.

   • El Hamma Botanical Garden — Ten hectares laid out in 1832 below the Martyrs’ Memorial — a French formal garden, an English landscape park, palm alleys and a bamboo grove.
   • Notre-Dame d’Afrique — The 19th-century basilica on the cliff above Bab El Oued, famous for the apse inscription asking Our Lady of Africa to pray "for us and for the Muslims".
   • The Central Army Museum — The national military collection beside the Maqam Echahid, running from the Emir Abdelkader’s campaigns to the war of independence.
