- El Hamma Botanical Garden — Ten hectares laid out in 1832 below the Martyrs’ Memorial — a French formal garden, an English landscape park, palm alleys and a bamboo grove.
- Notre-Dame d’Afrique — The 19th-century basilica on the cliff above Bab El Oued, famous for the apse inscription asking Our Lady of Africa to pray "for us and for the Muslims".
- The Central Army Museum — The national military collection beside the Maqam Echahid, running from the Emir Abdelkader’s campaigns to the war of independence.
